I am looking to upgrade into either LEE Auto Breech Lock Pro or LEE Pro 1000 (press only, maybe a kit) I am currently using Classic Cast Turret Press. I will be using the rest of accessories into the progressive press. Any suggestion into this move?

I got the Auto Breech Lock Pro. Never used/had the 1000.

The BL Pro takes a bit of time to set up. Also, mount the press on a solid work surface. I have an In-line Fabrication mount too.

I only use the case feed. I hand bomb the primers and projectiles. I can usually get about 250 rounds per hour. For the $ and my reloading needs, it’s a great press.

Sorry, forgot to say I got the Lee powder measure also-Lee auto drum on the powder thru expander die.

I have the Breech Lock Pro and really like it. However, I only load 38 Special PPC loads on it for my very light action S&W revolver so like JohnnyPython I hand prime my cases to make sure they are properly seated. The only job I have to do is pull the handle and load a bullet so with the case feeder it cranks out a lot of ammo quickly. If you size and prime on the press it will be considerably slower. The biggest knock on the 1000 was unreliable priming but maybe the newer model has fixed that. The original 1000 also only accommodated 3 dies while the BLP holds 4 dies although maybe the new one holds 4 dies. Check some of the sites like Midway. They usually have a lot of customer reviews.
