Auto loader strictly for duck and goose

I agree with everyone above as well, shoulder the gun. If you're consistently looking down the rib the comb height will need adjusting. Some guns come with shims, some don't.
I'm shooting an SBE I Bought off the ee. I'm very happy with it. I was shooting a beretta pintail before it and it is a good gun as well. Only a 3" chamber though. I don't use 3.5" shells very often, mainly later in the season for geese.
I've sort of gone backward for the ducks and am shooting 2 3/4 shells again over water. My kill rate went way up. I'm thinking due to less recoil.
Anyways this is my opinion. There r lots of well made guns a available these days.
Good luck with your search.

As with choosing any shotgun for shooting flying targets, choose a shotgun that fits you. And just because most new semi autos comes with shims or spacers, doesn't mean that they will fit you equally well.

I have a SBE 2 I bought for $1400 in the EE (There are some good deals out there, one for $1300 there right now). Anyway, I like the plastic stock for a gun that will get beat on a bit and mine cycles everything from cheap target loads to 3.5 shells with zero issues. Easy to clean and smashes birds, recoil is minimal as well. I can shoot box and box of 3" magnums and it doesn't bother me at all.

I don't own a semi auto waterfowl gun myself, but I wonder why no one has mentioned the Remington Versamax. I thought it was supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread?
