Auto loading softpoints?

Ok... so... I have been looking everywhere for some 55gr fmjs but sure enough the US is sucking up all the supply... so im thinking.. how well will soft point 55grs work in an autoloading ar15? Its a last ditch effort but it would sure save a lot of waiting.

If this has already been covered please point me in the right direction

Soft point will work fine they are exclusivly used here at our range for OPP training

Not directly related to your question, but I loaded some soft points in .45 for a 1911, and it just DOESN'T WORK.

Noses get smushed on the ramp instead of climbing it. Very annoying.

I've had some trouble with OTM, and the same issue would apply to soft points, without the M4 ramps. I wonder if the OPP msg.drew referenced had the ramps?
