My son is thinking of picking one up from a site sponsor.
If anyone had an opinion; good or bad I'd appreciate it.
I know Universal M1 carbines are much maligned by former owners.
How is Auto-ordinance's feedback?
Thanks

I bought one, but didn't get to test fire it until after the warranty period was over.

Mine has issues with latching and feeding rounds from magazines from four different sources.

I used the same mags in my Inland Carbine...no problems at all.

So, I obviously need a gunsmith's services to rectify this problem.

I like the gun, I like shooting it, and I like the idea of it being NR.

If your son is going this route, have him query very closely the retailer's policy on warranty issues. Also ensure he test fires
it well within the waranty period.

Hi. This very question was discussed at length a couple weeks back. Auto-ordnance Carbines are getting mixed reviews, Stateside, depending on who you talk to. Mind you, they can have a real Carbine with no fuss. I wouldn't part with the money asked for one myself. It's biggest advantage is the non-restricted barrel.
The AO's aren't anywhere near as bad as late model Universals. Universal thought they could improve on the design and wrecked it. Mostly due to poorly made parts though. The Op handles break.

x2 I did a bnch of armoring work on one for a friend, who bought one, shoot it lots when u get it, and return if it is a Piece, search my posts to get my full last feedback on these. G
