The US government doesn't allow m1 carbine parts to come to Canada...so the rifle will have the same issues. M1 Garand parts are ok...

The Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbines ARE coming into country, and they do have 18.6" barrels so will be Non-Restricted.

That being said, from what I've heard, the price will be more than one could buy an original for.
