I love my rcbs charge master for speed, but accurate it is not. Also .1gr is not accurate enough for precision rifle. My production line starts with the rcbs charge master, but then gets precision trickled on a gem pro. 1 in 20 rounds gets rechecked on a balance. So far the gem pro is spot on, the rcbs is all over the place. 5 loads that all read 23.5 gr on the charge master weigh between 22.4 and 24.5 on the gem pro/ balance.

The balance and the gem pro always agree so far.

FYI I always let both warm up for 24 hours before using and always calibrate at the beginning of the session.

Probably quicker to use a powder measure to throw, and then trickle on your precision scale. Then again, benchrest shooters often just use a high end powder measure and skip the weighing. I think the idea that weighing to .1 grain is insufficient for precision shooting is open to question.

Will try both. Chargemaster will probably get me closer with less trickling to do though.
My loads varied almost 1 grain up or down with stick powder with the lee powder measure. Will see i guess.

If the chargemaster makes no sense when trickling on a gempro, I'll sell the chargemaster.(no, dont PM me asking for the chargemaster, I'll post it if I plan to sell it, right now, it's a no :p)
