Hey Gents

So I got a call from the Mother-in-law this morning, Father-in-laws 50th Birthday is coming up this year in the fall and she asked me about getting him "that gun" that he always wanted. Turns out "that gun" is a .44 AutoMag. I know they have started making these again but the chances of picking up a new one is probably less likely then an original or so I assume. Anyone know of anywhere I can find one north of the border? I can always try the US auction site & import route however keeping the dealings in Canada would be preferable. Any tips for me? Am i chasing a white whale? I know it won't be easy to find and won't be cheap however I'm going to give it a try. It will be worth the look on his face.

If you want one now, us auctions are you best bet. You could try a wtb on EE. There are a few in circulation up here and owners are on this site.
Hopefully they get the bugs sorted out with the new ones ASAP though.

Have you checked with IRUNGUNS? I know they are US based but they have a lot of experience importing into Canada so the process should be straightforward. They may also be able to get you one of the newly manufactured ones.

Last I heard they were going to be in the 5K+ range in Canada.
As mentioned above IRUNGUNS is a good place to check with. There is also Questar, Borderview, Prophet River.

I think there are very few here in Canada.
There was a time, in America, that they were very reasonably priced.
The they became a collectable.

Maybe a month or so ago Epps had two wildey survivors and an automag come up for sale, they were gone pretty quick but it was still a fair bit less than the cost of the new ones
