So I bought the wife a savage 11 in 7mm08 and after getting it home and having an extended time to go over it there's a few things I would like to change, bit I'm not having the best of luck finding aftermarket replacement parts for it.

Questions

1. I don't like the factory composite stock and would like to upgrade to would furniture. Check out boyds and they have a few options, classic, prairie hunter and Featherweight thumbhole. Thoughts and opinions on these models?

2. Magazine housing is all composite/plastic and was wondering if there any aftermarket kits made of metal?

3. The magazine is steel and plastic, was wondering if any of the 111's have all steel magazines? And if the interchangeable with each other, and if so where could one find these?

The mag release is also plastic which is the main reason for the last 2 questions. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes I know there's some better models of the 11 available, but this was a budget buy and I did what I could. It's easier to justify some upgrades over the next couple months to the wife. So a boyds or factory savage stock (wood of coarse) is on the "to get list" along with rings, scope, bases and I'm currently working on a blued mag well.

Hayya Remmy, sign up to Boyd's email list and they will send you special offerings on their products.
They do have different sales and discounts on their stocks and such.
Cheers.
