This is the evolution of firearms, just because they are modern all the anti gunners are against them. Stand up for your right to own a modern firearm. If they had thier way we would only be allowed to own slingshots!

HA! We wouldn't even be allowed slingshots. There was a jurisdiction in the UK that banned metal paper clips JUST BECAUSE someone got a prick on the finger.

We don't need another nanny-state.

As I understand it, the last pile of bans the communist government in Ottawa forced on the country came from paging through the reference book "Janes Infantry".

I think the socialist scum can do their damage just fine regardless of anything posted here.

Lets not forget that antis want to ban all guns... Not just restricted...

The way I see it a good list of NR black guns could make it easier for NR class licence holders, and new gun owners that don't want to deal with restricted rules, to own guns that look like the restricted ones they want.

The only way politically we can change policy is by encouraging people into shooting sports, showing them that guns are not to be feared, and by making it easier for people to own the guns they want.
 
Does the bushmaster acr only come with a 16.5" restricted barrel? It is on the list as NR, this is true if the barrel is changed to 18.5", does bushmaster make a 18.5" model like robarm makes all sorts of lengths for the XCR? I see there is some .22's on there as well, missed the Remington 597 VTR, it is my belief that the 597 stands up better than the SR22. Heard lots of complaints of the SR rattling loose!

Lol at all the people who think they NEED a list. The RCMP have all the info on ALL the firearms that are legal in Canada. They will pull the FRT#'s if and when they are able.

That sucks about the ACR, really nice piece, wish you could get a NR model from factory. Don't have nor do I want an restricted licence. Probably will end up buying an XCR-M, got lots of 7.62 NATO to blast off.
 
Ok so the ACR gets updated to ( with 18.5" barrel ). Better add another 800$ to the price while your at it with that option. I'd keep the list to factory Non-Restricted. Cause you can go buy a number of rifles and toss 18.5" barrels in them and have them reclassified.
 
This makes for a very interesting list and I for one with no experience, helps in choosing one of these types of rifle. :dancingbanana:
I would find to add the mag capacity would help as well in choosing a non restricted firearm...:)
