A buddy picked up two from a guy in Calgary .He freqents the gunshows/rents a table and is still selling this crap.They never worked from day one and he will do nothing to rectify the problem..........the guys card is at home ...............Harold
 
but they look so good! who cares if they work or not. i sold mine, it didnt work work at all, ,id buy another used one for the right price tho, pm me
 
Its so easy to make them work, I thought people on this site had a handle on some basic home smithin, mine was a breeze to customize to my 10 22 now it s worn on my maurader stock and looks pretty horny.

Well, since you are such a knowledgable fellow , lets hear how you go about makin this thing work !!!! I am sure there are all kinds of 22 Ruger owners who would like to hear this method of making it happen !
 
The mags need to be fitted to some guns, due to tolerence variations in the Ruger rifles, the most common problem we see is the bolt rubbing on the top of the feed lips.
-Put some sharpie felt marker on the top of the lips
-lock the mag in place.
-run the bolt several times by hand.
-Check the top of the feed lips.
-File lightly where there is any black removed.
-Continue until there is no more contact.

If you still have problems try different ammo, some work better than others.
Make sure when you load, stack the top rim ahead of the bottom rim on the cartridge, then it wont try to double feed.

Try these tips & you should be able to make them run well!
 
I studied the round very carefully as it fed, the fix involved polishing the inside of the lips and really rounding off the lower half of the chamber entrance, to a tear drop shape I would say, I also had to shim the mag with black tape to make it a stiff fit. my mag was feeding at too steep an angle which caused the nose of the bullet to catch on the lower half of the chamber entrance, the mag works flawlessly now.

There will always be haters. Mine too runs great since I spent some time modding it. I knew of there issues but for $25 off the EE i figured I'd give it a try. I run AE 40 grain solids exclusively in mine. I also had major fitting problems, very loose in the rifle. Originally used electrical tape to shim and test for function, once I knew it worked fine I built up the top of the drum with JB weld then ground it down till I had a nice snug fit, didn't really like the look of the tape. Cheers to everyone that has made them work. Buddy bought one, loaded it, shot perfect straight out the box.
 
the new ones are a lot better, they also fit a lot tighter, thats why you need to fit some of them for the different rifle tolerences.
 
FACTIONRR,,,nice score, I paid 40$ for mine, me likes the jb weld trick, that stuff is great! reattached the plastic handle to my steel coffee mug that almost never leaves my hand in the a.m. hours and its still holding strong eventho my wife bought me a new one cause my glue job looks messy, stuffs amazing.
