Awe crap...

I just "had to have" one.....

What was I thinking?

Oh I know....I had to have one!!!

So last weekend, I ordered a shiny New M305. Sigh....

Wifey complaining the last slot in the gun cabinet is hers!!! Well, the Stoeger coach gun under the tree with her name on it should shut her up!!

Should have my M305 by Friday. Guess I'll be hanging around this forum a bit more....learning....

Also ordered a scope mount from M14.ca.

Planning on topping it with a Vortex Strikefire red Dot....

Maybe a better stock....

Crap....thought I was done with half finished gun projects!!!!! :D

OH NOOO the spelling nazi

lookin goooood ! boyds has some nice stocks and so does Treeline

do you have a pic with the aimpoint on it ... indeed a great xmas !!!!!

Was planning some range time this weekend since I am off....and we have a nice blizzard...oh fun...looks like I have to wait.

Dunno if I can wait much longer before I mount the aimpoint!!!!!!

So due to the fact there are some things going on, tonight was our gift exchange. And I must say, momma bear was SUPER excited to get her new coach gun!! She absolutely LOVED it, as I knew she would!!!

I better watch for safes going on sale at CT... :D

In other news, the rifle hasnt arrived yet....but I did get my M14.ca CASM mount today!!

Looks like it is quite well fabricated. Cant wait to test it out!!!

Also went to WSS today and had a good peak at the Vortex Strikeforce red dot optic. I think it will fit the bill nicely!!

Coach makes shotguns now? I'm sure my wife would love one of those as well... It'd match the watch I got her for Christmas...

Quick range report on Le M305.

It functioned absolutely flawlessly!! I am very very pleased that I decided to take the plunge and purchase this rifle. I love it!! The trigger is fairly heavy as I expected, but crisp and true with no creep. Accuracy was at least as good as I expected as well. Groups about 2" with my poor eyesight. After a bit of playing and getting it zeroed at 100 yards I had Davemachine spot me while I took on the 400 yard manhole cover. I can barely see it at that range!! Once I was able to get my POI down with Daves help, I hit it 4 shots in a row.

ZERO malfunctions, both magazines(NOT CLIPS)help good and fed properly. All in all, one of my favorite rifles I have ever owned!! Cannot wait to go shoot it some more!!

I also picked up a M14 service pack made by W.C. Wolff. Has all the springs. As it sits that rifle has no firing issues, so I am not going to change any springs out yet....I am going to mount the Aimpoint tonight and see how it feels, then see from that if I am going to need a cheek riser, and if so I can start looking to see what I can find or make.

Such a fun rifle. I've also been looking for a cheek riser, the Triad Tactical ones seem to be calling my name, but I'm not totally set on 'em. What were you feeding her whilst shooting at 400 yards, might I ask?

Oh yes...Done and DONE!!

Installed the CASM. Was really easy to install with their directions and the Youtube video. And seems very solid.

installed the PRO, then took it off and REMOVED the spacer....was WAY too high!!! Still will need a cheek riser....any suggestions??
