Awesome day at the range today

What's the average size of 5, 5-shot groups? That one groups is awesome, but will it consistently shoot that sort of group? I have a 30-06 that the 25 group average is at .78", and that is a truly accurate rifle IMHO, Regards, Eagleye.

The question should be... "will I consistently shoot that sort of group."... consistently...no, not yet.

average worst group that day was 1.5-1.75". Average group size was 1" or less (minus the occasional flyer, my fault). a lot were under an inch, that group was obviously my best one of the day. I was shooting 5 shot groups and jumping up .5gr increments in powder. Those five shots were the only ones I had with 56.5gr of powder.

BTW, those are my first handloads............ever!

Hi,

I also got similar results with my 06 T3 with Hornady A-max 150gr, H4350 and WLR primer.

This rifle seems to like plastic tipped Hornady bullets.

Can i ask you what OAL?

Mine is very close to rifling at 3.330in.

3.310" if I recall corectly. Ill check my notes, and edit if Im mistaken.
