Hey Guys,

I just got my ultrasonic cleaner, and was experimenting with different cleaning solutions. I think I have come up with an AWESOME cleaner. I was digging around under the kitchen sink and bumped into a bottle of Lagostina Professional Stainless Steel and Copper Cleaner, that my wife uses to keep the Stainless Steel pots and pans looking shiny and new. I filled my 1.3 L tub and then added a tablespoon of the powder to the water. Holy crap they look amazing!!!!:D I will post some pictures as soon as I charge my camera.

Just for craps and giggles I added a pic to the above link, of a cleaned case next to a brand new factory Remington for comparison sake. Very good job indeed!!!:D

Yes the solution does clean off any lube that may have been on the brass, they are squeaky clean. I will have to let you know about drying time, I set all the cases out on the kitchen table on some old newspapers. The outsides are dry but there is still some water inside, probably by the time I get home from work tomorrow they will be good to go.

It is a very nice solution for particular uses, no doubt about that.

But, I, personally, clean 500pcs of 9mm cases at a time and like to get them polished and 'slicked' (with little abrasive and polishing media). Turtle Wax Chrome and Metal Polish works great and much better than NuFinish; it cleans, polishes and coats cases with very thin slick coat (think of case lube). I also use crushed walnut shell and corn cob in my tumbler at the same time.
With fresh media, it takes only 1-1.5 hrs of tumbling to get great results. Then it gets longer and I usually use same media no more than 5 times (2500 cases).

Have a look at the pictures I posted earlier in this post they show both the primer pocket and the inside of the case. I am new to reloading and have never used a tumbler to compare it too but I believe that it is an excellent job, especially as it is done in 8 minutes rather than 4 - 8 hours.
