Just curious if anybody has a new AX .338? Anything that I have read sure puts them at the top of the heap. I know they redesigned a lot of it, but curious as to feel, accuracy etc. They still seem to be a 'battle' rifle meant to be tough and accurate. I would only need so much 'tough' but don't know if I'm giving up accuracy to get it. Any have one that can comment?

AX .338 ** Anybody have one?

I have not played with the AX338. I played with the AI AW 308, and I was a bit surprised that the lowest trigger pull was 3.5 lb. My TRG can go to 2.2 lb.
Also, the AI has a higher profile than the TRG when I was laying down in prone position. When I price compared TRG-43, Timberwolf and AX338, it will cost me over $10,000 to get everything that I want.
AI was tough and heavy but the accuracy can be tuned with a reload. I was told that for 338 - I should get the longer barrel length for accuracy.
