Axe/Hawk Heads that fit long sledge hammer handles

I personnaly bought a five feet long hardwood (ash) and trim it to lenght and shape it to a slimmer profile

I just got one of htese heads a tthe kaloops gun show

a 1-5/16 dowel works pretty well for a handle. a rasp file on two faces gets it fit pretty fast as well
long as you wnat for cheap (2.50 a foot)

I had a couple handles for cold steel tomahawks laying around and found that they can be made to fit pretty easily. These axe heads have a slightly smaller eye than the cold steel tomahawks so there is a decent amount of wood to get a good friction fit. Below is an H and a K1. I still have some fitting to do, but I'm happy with it. Happy enough I ordered a couple more of each. Should be good for throwing with the kid when he gets older.
