Thats going to be interesting since the U505 is set on blocks next to the Museum of Science and Industry on Chigago's lakefront! I think they would notice if you tried to steal it. Besides that there are two holes cut in the side of the hull for people to enter and exit the tour.

Definitely worth seeing U505 while in Chicago if you have the time. Great tours there, even have a JU-87 Stuka there.

Just as info, the Borden panther tank has now moved to the Canadian War Museum as of Feb 06

As for re-enactment in Manitoba i would suggest contacting

I am a ww2 fanatic when it comes to guns/tanks/planes. Especially on the axis side of things.

Any of you guys used to or still do miniature wargaming, or play ww2 strategy? I just found an old 1995 favorite of mine, panzer general 2 which is now FREE for download. Eastern front eating up all my poor whermacht infantry Nothing like getting your best troops to the front only to watch them get annihaliated in a day or 2.

From which unit are you? Panzergruppe 1, 2 ,3... probably the 1st under
Field Marshal Ewald von Kleist who In April 1941, took part in the invasion of Yugoslavia smashing the Yugoslavian Fifth and Sixth Armies.
That would explain the zrak mounts for the k98, call up Wilhelm-Gustloff-Werke, Weimar or Hensoldt-Werk fuer Optik und Mechanik, Herborn. Rather than using captured mounts.
