Recently acquired the AYA boxlock......only indication of a model is the mention of "Game Special" stamped on the left bbl. Well made, although plain, no frills Upland model typical of AYA production.

Assuming 70's make....haven't had time to do any research so far.

12ga, 2 3/4 inch chamber, 28 inch bbls and fitted with extractors. Aprox 30% case color remaining. Tight lockup, excellent bores.....VG conditon of wood/metal.

Appears the shotgun has been used but not abused. Hope it fits/shoots as well as it looks :) Some images attached.....

I agree with ArnoldB that it is a number 3. Nice shotgun, Ahsan, a real nice find. I have one in .410. The pictures seem to show more than 30 % CC though. Enjoy it in good health.

Appreciate the link.....the stamp is a B2, guess that'd make it a post '82 proof. The camera/light somewhat enhanced the CC....actually it's pretty much gone.

Regrettably, real Upland environment/conditions (read, in Ontario) are so extremely limited that thoughts (on my part at least) of acquiring a variety of game guns are simply an act of holding on to nostalgia :)

A very nice clean field gun. I have its big brother, a 10ga 3 1/2". Actually this is the second AYA 10ga. I got rid of the first, then after repeatedly kicking my butt for doing so, I got another. As luck would have it, it turned out to be a good thing as the present on has a really nicely figured piece of wood in the butt stock.
I just looked mine over and the only similar type stamp I see is 10-89.

The Model 4 has ejectors.

Gauge and chamber length in mm.
Thanks for the info Claybuster. And as it has ejectors, I assume it is a Model 4, or Matador?
With good handloads or some of the old Federal Premium ammo it throws some nice tight patterns, which is why it pains me to get the chokes opened up for steel, however................... Bismuth and some of the other non-lead 'stuff' available isn't actually a cost effective alternative. At least I'll get some use out of it.
