B and C stock vs factory 700 BDL stock?

Is the B&C medalist sporter any heavier than the factory BDL wood? Thinking of going synthetic on my 700 long action and this seems like the most economical option. Thanks

2.25 lb for the sporter. I just discovered they have a light hunter model at 2.1 lb. I have no idea what the factory bdl stock weighs. I would guess similar to the B&C sporter.

I had a short action B&C weigh in at 34 oz. Wood weight/density varies of course, but should be right in that ball park.

I just put a B&C Medalist on a 700 BDL SA with 24" JC 6CM bbl in Rem sporter contour. Bare rifle weighs 7.5lbs.

I think they are good value overall, esp if the end rifle doesn't have to be an uber-light.
