BC SC Provincials

I wouldnt call this the BC Provincial SC Championship as there is no provincial BC Sporting Clays organziation that I am aware of and there doesn't seem to be any interest in establishing one. The new Canadian National Sporting Clays Assoc pre-supposes that there will be provincial SC organizations. Alberta has a very active one and I believe there is one in SK as well. Not aware of any in other provinces.

Kamloops is having an event called the BC Sporting Clays Challenge. From the info I have there will be a 100 bird preliminary round on Friday, July 1 (non registered) and 200 registered targets on Sat and 100 registered targets on Sunday. Presumably these will be registered with the new CNSCA.

Contact Don Reynolds at dam2@telus.net or at 250-314-1024 for more info.

Forgot to mention, check out www.lwdrodgun.org and under Events, News and Programs there are monthly calendars in PDF format which list most of the SC events in BC, AB and SK

From what I understand, the Alberta Sporting Clays Association is now the Canadian National Sporting Clays Association. I am not sure how this happened?

The Canadian Sporting Association was formed to give Sporting a common voice for sporting activities in Canada. It is not involved in controlling Sporting in each province and in fact encourages the provinces to manage their own affairs. There has been some confusion around this issue since the new association was formed and I think the leadership of the CNSCA should spend some time explaining this to the interested parties.

The CNSCA is the ASCA with a name change. Yes it does control sporting clays, at least it does in Alberta. In the rules which can be found on their page they use the term govern which to me is the same as control.
