Just a reminder that Waterfowler Heritage Days are approaching.
This is a very important couple days, The data shows that kids who start waterfowling in thier pre teens hunt for life where as those who start in thier teens are most likely to quit in a few years. Nothing like having the WHOLE marsh/field/lake to yourself and having a fresh crop of uneducated birds to hook a boy/girl on waterfowling.
Here is the note part:
The current hunting regulation synopsis DOES NOT LIST GEESE as being open for Waterfowler Heritage Days in region 7. The wife did some work and got it cleared up (Thumbs up to Victoria for being uber responsive). There should be an update online soon and the COs will be informed. That is 10 geese on each of the two days that a young hunter may take toward thier generous possession limit of 30. (kinda sounds like a sales pitch for a plucking machine to me)
There is still time to get a young person geared up and out to the trap houses before the early opening.
