B.C. youth hunt question

Taking my 10 yr old out for deer in region 8 this weekend,is he allowed to pop some grouse if we see some? I don't have the regs and none of the local sportshops do either.

No , grouse doesn't open till the 10th

You would be required to have hunting lic. and your 10yr old a junior lic which you can buy for 7 dollars.

I have a licence and my son will be hunting off my bag limit this year,I just wasn't sure if the youth hunt covered grouse as well or if we have to wait until the 10th.
