Lee Loadmaster vs Pro 1000

One more usable die station. So you can seat and crimp separately or use an RCBS powder lockout die.

Better primer system (apparently).

Faster caliber changes - no tools required generally.

What does the loadmaster do better than the pro 1000?

It works. ;) I'm sure that there are Pro 1000 users out there that can make them work, but I personally don't know anyone that has had a happy time with a Pro 1000. OTOH, most folks who buy the Loadmaster seem to be able to make them work after going through the initial 'familiarization' stage.
acrashb has mentioned a couple of the technical features that make the Loadmaster a better choice as well.
The Loadmaster is, quite simply, a much more serious progressive than is the Pro 1000. I would go with the Lee Turret Press over a Pro 1000, quite honestly.

i changed the powder measure on my lee 1000 for a dillon- seems to work well enough- and i don't have to refill the resevoir every 10 shots or so- looks a little strange, though

If you get on the Dillon site, scroll to the Lee press you desire and click on the "feedback"link you can see what other guy's have said about'em.

There's guy's shooting them down but there's also a LOT of info on trouble shooting your press and hint's to get your money's worth.
