Hi all
I have put a B Square mount on my M14S (dovetail mount with 2 set screws) that seems to be ok-anyone have any positive or negative feedback on these mounts?
Also, right now I have an older Bushnell Buckhorn 4x9 (I think-I don't know much about optics), variable scope that leaves a lot to be desired. Anyone have any advice on a good fixed or variable hunting scope? I am looking to use it for deer hunting, so I'm not really in the market for a tactical model.
Any advice would be appreciated!

If you plan on keeping the B-Square, it's ok...but it will loosen. Red loctite can hold it, but ideally, to upgrade to a better mount, such as the ARMS 18, Sadlak, etc. is advised.

For deer hunting, probably a low power scope if you are bush hunting (1-4x), or a simple 3-9x for longer ranges.

Have you considered using a red dot sight?
