B&t apc 223 pic thread-range report page 4

How did you find the stock and cheek weld. I'm always dubious of those style of stocks with the low height

Stock/cheek weld is perfect for me with the micro on the low mount or with the BUIS folded down (using the pistol style sights built into the top)
BUIS when up is where it starts to become a chin weld

I was gonna take the Geissele out of my ACR and see if it fits in the APC. But if you say the trigger is that good then I guess I won't be tinkering around with it for no reason. ;)

I think this rifle is good straight out of the box, the aimpoint is lonely!
But should get mine a day before dilli so I guess we will see...
Should be getting 2 rifles this week, the apc and the g2, very excited about both, the g2 is my first 308
My birthday in 2 weeks so this is working out well
after this guys gonna be on a buying hyatus for a bit, funds are gonna be redirected to building my daugther's little trust fund.

Mines already in Victoria, will be delivered Monday and I usually get my packages by 1130 ish.

My Lyman Digital Trigger Pull Gauge is on standby.... lol... Hopefully this thing is right around 4lbs if not the Geissele is going in.

I also can wait to see if it handles better than my ACR.

Can you please keep us posted about the trigger?

G2 308 sweet, I'm saving for a NR 308.
I'm 99.9% sure I'll configure my APC for scopes, "might" do an offset aimpoint as secondary.
Trust fund eh fancy, all I can afford are multiple RESPs.

Are we sure AR triggers will fit? I have a hi speed NM on standby, half hoping I won't need it.
I've been warming up my SAN lately.

Almost jumped to the pump when I saw the one for sal that wanstalls posted. I'd like to see all the nicest non restricted black rifles first. The acr dmr is nice but I don't like the front heaviness of it. Does the apc feel like more quality vs an acr?

i own both. the Acr barrel is better, and more accurate. weight is the same. only much worse on the APC. yes i say again the apc is extremely front heavy as there is zero balance or cheek weld with the skeleton buttstock that comes standard on a 4000$ rifle. u can change the buttstock and handguard on the acr dropping 2 pounds of weight. u cant drop any weight on the apc. ithe apc however is a gorgeous rifle, but compating it to the ACR, the ACR wins. sorry for tue bad news. i dont know why people arent in love with acr's. they arent heavy if u make them light ie. polymer handguard, either the light fixed stock or the folding stock over the 3lb PRS! and if u get a lightweight optic like the new sig sauer scopes, the acr is as light as you'll find anywhere while delivering amazing performance. just my 2 cents brother. 😊

I too owned an ACR and the DMR was about the same if not as good then my NR APC. Quality on the Acr is nowhere as good as the APC

Cant see how you think it's nose heavy cuz I don't have a problem shouldering and shooting ym apc while standing. DMR sucked for that tho

And thats my 2 cents

The Polymer ACR handguard is heavier then the new M-Lok one :) As for barrels Ill take a Lothar Walther over a bushmaster any day.

ohhh now stop being silly...

No you cant drop 2 pounds of weight by changing the handguard and buttstock on the regular (not the DMR) ACR, well I guess you could if you have no stock and no handguard but then WTF are you doing. My NR ACR is 8.5 pounds, it has the RPM handguard, the fixed stock now, and just a micro aimpoint, thats about as light a config as possible.

For the APC, you need to put a very low optic for you to have a good cheek weld, that's really the choice of optic not the rifle. Get an optic that fits the rifle.

I own both the acr and the apc, both have micro aimpoints. I'll let you know how they stack up to each other weight and balance wise.
