Has anyone switched out the trigger in their B&T SPC9s?

I think I read somewhere that they accept any AR15 trigger (cant find that info anywhere hence the question), if so that opens up lots of options.

This gun will be primarily used for PCC competition so the following would be desirable:

1) Single stage
2) Little / zero take up preferably
3) Super short reset
4) Low pull weight (bonus points if it is adjustable).
5) Prefer flat triggers

The Triggertech Diamond AR15 single stage seems to be a good fit. Single stage obviously, TT states it has zero take up and ultra short reset (0.030" from memory). Weight is adjustable down to 1.5lbs and there is a flat version. I have an FX9 with the TT FX9 trigger and its great, the AR15 Diamond seems to be similar but upgraded in every way (lighter / crisper / shorter reset etc etc)

I already have a Geissele SD3G trigger in another rifle and its a good option too but the spec on the TT just seems a little better.

Lots of folks speak highly of the Hiperfire but I know zilch about them / never played with one. I looked at their site and it looks like the Hipertouch Competition / Hipertouch Eclipse are the pick of the bunch.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

That's the one most of the guys I shoot with use, and one of them is one of the guys that worked on getting the B&T's into Canada... and he says the Elftmann is the only one that works properly.

I saw a bunch of SPC9s at a PCC match last week and they had those triggers (I didnt know what they were at the time) so that makes sense.

I have sent Eiftmann an email to confirm that the one I like the look of will work / function in the SPC9 but seeing this in the description makes me hopeful:

*FOR B&T/TIPPMANN RIFLES! IF YOU HAVE A METAL B&T LOWER PLEASE LET US KNOW IN THE ORDER COMMENTS SO WE CAN MILL YOUR HAMMER. ALSO FOR ANY B&T RIFLES PLEASE ALSO WRITE LONG SCREWS*

Elftmann triggers work great in the apc and ghm. i suspect spc as well Try to get the LEGACY trigger not the apex. compared to the orig the apex sucks is more of a target trigger. My guns are used for ipsc pcc and the orig. pro se( now called legacy) is amazing short travel no overtravel and a very positive reset allows for crazy fast splits. apex not so much....... ghm9 2 clean.jpg

Thank you for this.

That trigger is the one I like the look of (flat trigger without the pad) and the model you mention is the one I had my eye on:

How do you like the 510C on the B&T? Do you use dot only or ring & dot combo? And where did you find that magwell?

Just thinking about this and the trigger will fit the SPC9 for sure as the lowers for the GHM9 and SPC9 are the same.

Does anyone know where I can pick up an Elftmann Legacy trigger (seems I can find the APEX in Canada - RDSC has them but the Legacy is harder to find).

For anyone interested this video explains the different Elftmann triggers pretty well.

For PCC competition the Legacy looks like the best fit for sure (as per tgorgs comments above)

Triggertech confirmed their triggers ain't compatible either.

They said they"might" make something compatible in the future but stressed there was no solid plan / timeline at this point.

Sure feels like Elftmann are the only play in town.

510 c works great actually prefer it over the aimpoint( yeah i m goin to hell for saying that...) circle dot i shoot with circle seems to help find dot and center target st speed and the awesome folks at freedom ventures can supply a magwell. ARTE ET MARTE

Good stuff.

I have / use the 510C but only with the dot. I only tried the circle briefly and found it too much. Maybe i should give it more time. I am going to try some other options on the SPC9 (including the circle / dot combo on the 510C) but the 510C has served me well.

Thanks for the info about the magwells.
