I have one. Love it. The best SMG type gun available in Canada

x2. Remarkably well built.
Expensive but worth every penny.

Whats the point? You cant have them full auto or more than 10 rounds

Five actually, but that doesn't stop anyone from owning an ar15 does it?

I've got one.....It's an excellent rig, accurate, ergonomic, just a sweet shooter. It's one of those guns that you can play with and say "THIS IS LEGAL TO OWN AND SHOOT IN CANADA, BUT AN FN-C1 ISN'T????" It's also a real eye catcher at the range, when it barks everyone else stops what thier doing for a bit to watch. Wish it was classed as a pistol though so we could at least get 10 shot mags.

LOL. Comparing a BRS to a TP9 ....

it like putting a potato eating peasant from Branowko to a classical musican at a Vienna threatre!!

They might be both blonde with blue eyes.....but one is clumsy in articulation and thick in the hip, while the other is slim and intellectual.

That's why the design went nowhere and was taken up by a company known for exploding suppressors. Hmmmmm.

What's the point of owning any firearm at all? By your logic there's no point in even owning anything that goes bang.

How's this for a point: because I damn well want to.

From watching the videos the real power in the MP-9 is it's stability at FA. The TP-9 takes away this key feature and the 5rds limit takes away one more from the fun factor. Becasue of this it's low on my list - BUT IT IS STILL ON MY LIST. :D Fornicate me if it's not the purest/lightest/smallest suby made for the 9mm rd.

IMHO:)

Wouldn't a Glock 18 qualify as the purest/lightest/smallest suby made for the 9mm rd. :D

...heheh

I do like the TP-9, if it were on par with a Glock (Hell, even an HK) in price I'd easily have that instead.

Wolverine supplies has the TP-9 for $1600, is that right? I enjoyed shooting one of these at my range. An RCMP-ERT had one of these had we changed guns... this is a serious piece of hardware and it shoots VERY well. I really enjoyed the experience..
I still can't fathom why these are not classed as a pistol when they technically should be. A few RCMP - ERT members have these and love them to bits.

Since handguns in Canada are defined as being designed or manufactured to be used with the action of one hand, and the TP-9 has a shoulder stock and a forward grip, it falls into their SMG class.

ya, i know an awful lot of handguns that are too damned big to shoot with only one hand, but the logic seems lost on them.

Last I checked Steyr SPP uses the same magazines and is a prohibited pistol. So SPP magazines would be limited to 10rds.

So get SPP magazines for your TP9!!!

is this true? Wold you be allowed to use 10 rounders in it?

The Beretta Storm uses M92 mags which need not be reduced to less than 10 rounds capacity. If the aforementioned mag will fit, the same logic (the mag is restricted according to whether it is a pistol or rifle mag not its use in a gun) should apply.
