is this true? Wold you be allowed to use 10 rounders in it?

Someone with the FRT disk could look up the magazine limit on the Steyr SPP and post there findings we can have a defenite answer.

i say stop now and let it go becasue TP9 has nothing to do with SPP, and SPP is not a "commonly available" pistol either. So quit playing with fire with the classification system and enjoy your TP9. TP9 is a variant of MP9 which comes from TMP. SPP is a semi variant of TMP. Since TMP itself is not specificly prohibit, its variant other than the one that is specificly prohibit are not prohib. Let it go now.

Huh?

Are the SPP mags not legal to own? I'm not sure at all where you are going with this one.

If you get 10 round mags that are meant for another firearm, I dont think it matters. Look at it this way: you need a PAL to buy ammo and firearms, but not most firearm parts or accessories. They dont really count, but getting a 30rd mag for your TP9 or SKS-D would cross the line of course :)

I'm going to have some loose cash this summer and need to fill some voids: a good boltgun, then something crazy and sub-gun style.

The TP9 is really bad ass looking but if someone could tell me its cost vs, say:
BRS99
Bereta Storm
AR 9mm upper
HK USC (can it use USP mags of same calibre?)
those Chilaen Sig things, SAFs?
anything I missed?

There's also the FEG KGPF. TSE (www.theshootingedge.com) carries them.

I have one, I like it. It's not fancy but I feel it was good value for my money. Also I have a soft spot for rugged, plain-jane firearms.

It's no TP-9, but I didn't pay for a TP-9! It was less than half the price (not by much but still less than half).

I think the TP9 and BRS are around $1700 new and the SAF a couple hundred more. It seems to me that a 9mm AR upper is over $1000 by itself ... and then you get to buy $150 magazines!

By comparison, the Beretta Storm is around $1000 ... and was my choice of all these guns, but not only because of the lower price. This carbine is extremely accurate, is set up with rails from the get go, uses a commonly available pistol magazine (hello 10 rounds in the mag, and versatile 3 gun platform) and is very pointable. There are some ergonomic failings of which the location (and lack of sensitivity) of the mag release is the worst. The heavy trigger can be worked on, but I find its something you just get used to after a while, so that issue disappears after a bit of use.

Here's some pics of the wifey with a cutaway shoulder holster we modified for her TP-9mm. the holster was originaly for an HK MP5-K.

I don't try to make her mad to often!!:D

looking in the FRT disk it seems there is NO reason for the TMP to be classed the way it is currently with regards to mag limit.

Whats the point? You cant have them full auto or more than 10 rounds.

What's the point???

What's the point of owning a microwave if you already have a stove. Want & need are two different, unrelated things. If you can get one, if you want one, if you can afford one, then why not? Life is short. Go for it all!

Regards,

heh? what do think my point was. Pure and simple the TMP is a pistol and should have a 10rnd limit, not a 5rnd limit.
