I wrote to MDT asking this question to see what their answer would be. I figured others in the forum might be wondering the same thing
Q:
Since you guys designed the custom chassis, could you tell me in which ways it differs from the LSS-RF?
Would I be better off, albeit more expensive route, to get a B22 FV and place it in a LSS-RF?
A:
The Savage has a longer forend and is one piece so you cannot change the buttstock out if you wanted to have more flexibility the LSS-RF might be the way to go. If you're going to compete the LSS-RF would put you in open and the Savage option would keep you in Production so that might factor in as well. I got to handle the complete Rifles at the Savage booth at SHOT and there are some advantages and upgrades to the action as well.
Hopefully that helps people.
Also, another member mentioned that his B22 Precision has MLOK slots on the bottom of his rifle chassis/stock as well as the swivel, if that helps others as well.
