Baby Eagle - lower rear sight? Higher front sight?

Hi all,

I took my new baby eagle to the range today, for the first time, and it's great, except the sights... The front sights is very low/flat, and the rear sign it very tall/high. At 17 yards the gun was shooting well over a foot high, increasing drastically with greater distance.

I've "adjusted" the sights using a metal file and will be trying the result again tomorrow... Are there any replacement sights which are more on target here?

Ohh, well.... filed away top of the real sights, until about 1/3 of way into the white dots, and it's shooting perfectly now. Just a tad to the left, but that's not elevation's fault
