I suddently developed an interest in the 9mm Baby Eagle; I noticed they are not the most common handgun around, unlike the CZ-75. They also seem to cost a little bit more than the Czech counterpart. What do they shoot like?

deadly I love mine and it is the nicest looking pistol in my collection of many many handguns. I have a polished chrome. Search baby eagle and you will see it.

It is a nice looking one for sure. Nice trigger as well. Accuracy not that great as far as I am concerned, but again I am bullseye shooter. For the self-defence is more than you need for sure.
Polygon barrel - whole new topic for discussion.

Although it is a CZ copy, but it is very well build and good looking gun. I love the grip, very comfortable. I have a 75B but I think Baby Eagle is a better gun.

Baby Eagle or Jericho by I.M.I., perosnally of all the Cz design, it is the most well built gun.

I think its honestly one of the sweetest looking and shooting pistols there is...I have a blued on in 9mm, granted its really heavy for 9mm but whatever!! I would do anything for the .45 version but for some reason they made the bbl shorter on it so its prohib.

Heres mine:

Here's a Romanian built version; the Md95 looks a bit different but also very cool.:) It is being built in large numbers for their military.

A fellow at my club let me put a couple of mags through his .40. My impression is that the gun is well built, has a comfortable grip and a pretty good trigger. The only thing I didn't like was getting empty cases ejected in my face.

These guns are assembled in Israel from Italian-made (Tanfoglio) components. However, unlike Tanfoglio and CZ, the Baby Eagle comes with a polygonal barrel.

Look into your barrel. It is NOT POLYGONAL. The old ones were polygonal, the new ones you can buy now simple rifled barrels. Here is a 9mm I bought last year:

The two that I've owned shoot way high. I think the rear sight is too tall. I've adjusted mine to shoot centre but not sure what to do about getting the bullets down a little lower. The gun is awesome and a real solid feel but I wish it was more accurate. Any suggestions on different sights or what to do with the sights?

I tried out a baby eagle. Yes, it has CZ heritage. But it was quite alot more comfortable in my hand (large) compared to a CZ SP-O1. Weight felt better, controls were nicer. (to me)
They are similar, but to me I would buy the Baby over the CZ.

I carried a Jericho for almost 7 years as an issue sidearm, it saw abuse via sand and mud, rain and snow in both extremes of weather in the Iraq and never failed me.

I now have a .40 cal Baby Eagle and find it to be one of the best handling guns in its class, the thing shoots well is comfortable and hits it mark time after time.

It does have the tendency to throw brass around, but I can live with that ,knowing it finds its mark and is reliable is all that really matters.

These guns are assembled in Israel from Italian-made (Tanfoglio) components.

I just got back from Italy and had a chance to tour the Tanfoglio factory. In fact, most of the gun is also assembled in Italy. IWI (no longer IMI) put on the last few parts which allows them to have "Made in Israel" inscribed on the gun......

It's a mans gun! Check out "gunblast.com" nice review.. as for me I bought the 40 first, was so deadly accurate went back & bought the 9 as well. Yup based on the cz 75. They call'em "baby" because the they quickly become your "baby". Hardly any recoil or vibration (shock wave), compared to my glocks. Light, crisp, sensitive trigger. Exc weight transfer & feel. Paid 700 + tx for each . love my babys
