Baby needs a new pair of shoes

I have the Irish Setter Elk tracker warm, comfortable dry. They have different heights and insulation models

Do your feet a favour and look into Crispi boots! Can be found on sale often and available from site sponsor Precision Optics. They’re very well made and super comfortable. I have a pair I’ve had for years and they’re still in great shape and another pair a couple years newer. Most comfortable boot I’ve ever worn. Better than Lowa or Hanwag in my opinion. They’re what I wore before the Crispi.

Don't scrimp on boots. One of the most important pieces of gear a guy can own, that can make or break a hunt. That means not buying anything from Cabelas unless its run of the mill neoprenes if you dont do a lit of walking. Cheap Chinese junk for the most part. Assuming you're a walker, spend the extra and look at Lowa, Crispi, Zamberlan to name a few. All make insulated versions if desired but being great hiking boots you're not going to find the warmth like you will in a pac style.

Really depends on the type of hunting you do. Walk lots, more of a hiking or mountaineering style. Sit in a blind or up a tree then Pacs. Won't want to walk far in those either. A lot of what were good names 10 -20 yrs ago have moved to offshore manufacturing..i.e. ETs

True dat! For hiking, I have always loved Gronell boots. Made in Italy, great stuff. They also make hunting boots. However, since MEC stopped carrying them, they no longer have a distributor in Canada. Yeah, Crispi is a good brand too, but Lowa fit me better. My wife swears by Zamberlans.

Technically we hunters shouldnt buy anything from MEC because of their anti "blood sport" stance but ymmv. I bought my 2 pairs of Lowa and one Hanwag from Altitude Sports, (check them out), and my Crispis from Scheels. Helly H pacs from good old Marks. Probably rate Lowa tops but we all have different feet. The Crispis are an insulated boot and very comfortable. They have a little wider toe box than the Lowa and Hanwag.

This, I didn't know. Anyhow, they're too expensive and at least now we have choices for outdoor stuff unlike way back when.
