Anybody bothered by the recent (past yr or 2) rules restricting back country use/access? Seems like the hunter is impacted the most. The summer crowd seem to disregard the rules. There seems to be little or no enforcement. As this issue evolves I cannot see hunting represented at the table very effectively if at all. Thoughts?

I've been hunting in Livingstone PLUZ for a few years now. I don't think the rules are bad. For those who don't know the area, vehicles have to stick to designated trails and not make water crossings. There are a few roads and trails that used to be used by motor vehicles but now cannot be. Most of the closed trails are ones that had water crossings and marshy areas that got all torn up by ATV's. I wish they'd enforce the rules better; I tried to hike along a horse/bike/foot trail on the North edge of Beehive Natural Area and it was full of huge mudholes and destroyed marshes that made it hard to walk around. What a piss-off...

There were guys camped along that trail (drove in with pickup trucks and made two illegal water crossings to get in) so I told the CO about them. And I ain't normally a snitch but it was mostly the torn up marsh that pissed me off.

Then I hiked along the Great Divide Trail in the natural area and there were fresh dirt bike tracks from those clowns.
