Well we never seen amy moose to shoot but had a good time. Made some friends and hope to go back.

The outfitter was not so great. He put us in a Motel, but not what origional planned. He hired some locals that were not prepaired to take us all. 6 Hunters. We got references but he was not what we wanted. Never explained the game laws and told us things that could have gotted us in trouble.

We started in Point-a -la-Croix and drove for through some rugged mountins. It was moose country. I had a good guide but he did his best and we came up empty. Seen a few cows but that is just about it.

In the end we made some friends and hope to go again, but we will leave out the middle man. The best part was meeting a 14 year old girl that loved to hunt and was hoping to shoot a big bull.

I had a similar instance happen 3 years ago. We ended up ditching the guide on the 3rd day and ran into some local COs that showed us where to hunt and turns out where the guide was taking us was a no hunting zone. Where the COs told us to go was great, too bad we only had 2 days left and didn't have enough time by then to get anything. We were up in Moose Lake Manitoba, it was cool and we had fun after we ditched the guide, but alas, no mooses.

Congrats on the good time tho.

That is really too bad. Had a similar experience in Cape Breton, except we were lucky enough to stumble upon a moose on our own. Better luck next time.
