Now that is a nice, basic looking, fighting shotgun. Call me crazy but I think that you should have refinished the wood and left it on the gun. I don't know why, but I love the basic look of the "police" style walnut.

How did he get rid of the chrome on the bolt? Did he just blast it, and put a teflon finish over top of it or did he completely strip the chrome first?

The finish looks A1. So he parked it first and then used a teflon coating over top?

What make of sidesaddle? Mesa Tac?

Who, or what, is Tac Ord?

I'll post pics of the 20" once i get the wood back from my dad, same finish but no add-ons... exept a new butt pad.

not sure for the bolt.

yes park and then teflon, same as "wilson combat" in the states.

saddle is MESA indeed.

TacOrd is Tactical Ordnance, a smith in ON, aka Arwen Ace on this board... he's a nice guy with some skills...

That finish looks great, how much did it run you?

Ahhh!!! ARWEN ACE, I've pm'd him a couple of times, very helpful, but I've never had any work done by him.

I had 2 870 to do and I added the ghost rings and the new safety on one of them so he made me a good deal...
