When I was puting it back together I blasted it with break clean, and I herd it survived the drop test................right Laniru.
Lets remanufacture that BBL.

Yep, drop test A-OK...

And if we reman the barrel, a couple of homemade Mac-10's would be nice (semi-auto, of course).:D

I may be wrong
You are.
Plus I think I probably hurt any resale value by dyeing it, I wouldn't want to destroy its value completely with a barrel cut.
Actually, I think you just increased the resale value by dyeing it (if it's a good job. Cutting the barrel would hardly hurt it either. I prefer a black short barrel USC of a gray ###### version.

this is probably a dumb question, but how did you prevent the red and white areas from getting colored? mask them off?
And I got to play with this toy the other day, fun, I liked it. but I'd still Dremel off the right side selector switch if it was mine.

I did the dye job on my USC as well about 6-7 months ago. Rebarrelled and a B&T flash hider installed. Stock was a little something I whipped up here at home :)

The red and white "tampo" markings are impervious to the dye...no special prep needed. Smgcon, how did you make the folder work on your USC? Daddy like!!!:D

And Ardent, as to the metal finishing business....this is in the works!;)

That was a really factory looking finish. nice and mellow to shoot as well.
Too bad they are so fecking expensive!

That was a great dye job, you should be a hairdresser!
