Back in Black - Tikka T3 Battue Lite: bead blasted, parkerized, and Arma-coated

That is one beautiful rifle. Based on what I read they are designed for quick target acquisition. How "pointable" are they in real life vs a longer sight radius/different sight design? Its on my wish list but could never find one when I had the money and never had money when I found one.

Target acquisition is FAST. The sights are really nice and work as designed. I also like the Finnish-made MaSi QD mount. It's probably the BEST QD mount I've ever seen or used. The whole rifle points exceptionally well and Tikkas just happen to fit me. Yeah, Tikkas aren't cheap. Once you add custom coating (a must on thinly blued rifles), extra 5-round mag, steel or aluminum bolt shroud (though not necessary), larger bolt knob (also not really necessary), and whatever else to "make it yours" the cost really starts to climb. However, Tikkas are really modular, well engineered, and super easy to mod. In the end, you are starting with an accurate platform, smooth feeding single stack mags, and one of the best modern actions around. It really doesn't need anything out of the box. I particularly like this factory stock. I never worry about my sweaty hands lifting the finish on the stock, or rusting the "bottom metal", trigger guard, and mag :) I honestly wanted glass reinforced polymer in this type of application. I've got pretty walnut and rust-blued rifles to look at, but this one will get the nod, especially when the weather sucks or when dragging through the sticks.
