So like the title says, I have been out of the loop for a bit, but I am back and eye balling a couple of new guns. One of them being a camp/fun gun based around either a Rem 870 or a Mossy 500.

But what i want is to fix it up with a cool ( <-- the cool part is very important) :D looking stock (does not have to be a folder - already have a top folding, rifle sighted 870) I'd also like to start with a somewhat shorter barrel length ie: 18 -14" maybe shorter???

I have noticed some Ar type stocks in the pictures on the boards here that are very nice, what are some good brands that are readily available here in the great white north? What is the crap that should be avoided at all costs?

Basically I want to finish up with something that looks like it came out of a video game (never now when the mother ship is going to land and the aliens will want their planet back ;) ) <-- politically incorrect statement, but to bad. Life's to short.

Any recommendations of what to look for or at are greatly appreciated.

Buy an HP9-1 from Norinco. It'll get you started down the path you want for the best money. Add whatever stock (Knoxx SpecOps probably) and your set.

I went with a TSA adaptor and standard M16 pistol grip. then I added a Brownells M4 stock to that. I also swapped the forend on mine out for a Hogue Synthetic forend stock. Now I can switch back and forth from a standard 870 Express with 28" barrel and wood stock to a 14" Remington Jagdzombie with +1 mag adaptor, 14" barrel, Trac-lock sights and M4 stock in about 5 minutes.

The HP9 would be a great place to start too. Seems like there are lots of tac shotguns available in the EE.

Thanks for the heads up peeps, I was looking at Marstars' site after Grantmacs' advise on the Norinco (some decent prices for a good budget machine - that does hurt my conscience none :D , and make for an easier sell to the missus).

I'll have to look into the TSA stock adapter, now and see what that is all about.

P.S. I would look in the EE forum, but I am in th eprocess of waiting to be approved for privileges to see the goodies that lurk in there.
