Currently my stable has almost a dozen complete AR15 carbines and almost as many assorted uppers, my approach was simple with this carbine, as the title said Back To Basics, as much as I love all the accessories - I needed a carbine set-up for my 9 year old daughter and wife, this is what I came up with:

Factory LMT 10.5 carbine, MAGPUL MOE accessories, Vltor charging latch, Norgon-Ambi magazine release, Trijicon RMR with ADM base, AAC 5.56 BLACKOUT MUZZLE BREAK 51T, TROY rear folding sight, Endine hydraulic buffer, just waiting for the ambi-safety (my daughter is a lefty;))

Very nice! Any plans for a vertical grip or AFG at some point? How do you like the RMR setup with the ADM base?

That is one lucky little girl (and wife). Hope she appreciates what Dad has done for her as much as we all do. Nice gun!

Honestly no plans for the vertical grip or AFG, the ADM base works great and we have someone distributing the product in Canada (Target Sports Canada & The Shooting Edge)

Basic... maybe not, but it certainly embraces the 'less is more' philosphy
It is almost identical to what I have been using in a series of tactical carbine courses and it has done the job admirably.
There is nothing like running a bunch of rounds through a series of drills to confirm what works...and what doesn't.

very close to what I am currently (and slowly) building, only differences being it won't be a LMT and will sport an 11.5" barrel, AAC breakout, DD rear and eventually an aimpoint micro in a DD mount.

so i like it! any idea about it's weight?
