So after almost a year of owning the Marauder platform (yes, this is a pre-Nomad one), and only firing it about 3-4 times I decided to take it back to stock, almost.
I originally wanted this stock for the compactness of it, until I realized that I still needed a stock barrel to keep the folding feature. It had a awesome level of tacticool but has always been over shadowed by my very first firearm: SR-22
I had grand mental images of taking it hunting but the height of the irons from the barrel makes for very tricky close range shooting. Sure it can be done by doping the shot, but why should I, if I could just use irons and use the same hold pretty much for 5' to 25y?
But then came my biggest problem... iron sights? Where are those? Oh right... I used them on another project...
So then I had to call around my local shops, they could all order them in. However, all the prices were whack from $20-$50 and a few weeks wait... Then I got to thinking who might have these in stock, who does lots of 10/22 builds? SMACK! It came to me, DAVE over at High Caliber Services!
I sent him a PM and low and behold he has them in-stock! $15 plus the shipping and I had them in less then 4 days! So I got em yesterday and got to it today!
So I present the "new" 10/22 of the Sights household!
Though It is not completely stock:
-Tuffer Buffer
-Marauder extended mag release
-Marauder auto bolt release
