Does anyone know a cheaper alternative for back up irons to magpul, that are still good quality but at a better price? If, so, where to buy them here in Canada? I feel like the magpul mbus are over priced for just a back up iron, feels like your just paying for the name.

Just seems like paying 80-150$ for something I don't ever plan on using is a bit much.

thanks

If you don't ever plan on shooting irons, don't buy 'em. Why waste your money for an accessory you won't ever use? Spend it on ammo. :)

They're called back up sights, have em there as a back up for if my optic fails. I don't want my optic to fail but if it does I have them as a back up. I probably won't use them much but if I need em they're there.

We know...you should edit your first post where you stated that...

That's why Trinimon told you not to buy them...he knows what you're talking about...trust me.

That being said, keep your eyes on the EE...you may find yourself a set of BUIS for a good deal, as they do tend to show up every once in a while.

Sounds just like the spare tire analogy. So, save your money.

I use offset irons. Quicker than removing the sight.

That's what I plan on doing...eventually. I love the idea of a quick offset sight(s). Makes the shift from optic to irons really, really fast. It all sounds great right now, but since I've never really messed around with that set-up, I can't honestly say that it would be better...but it does sound good.

I agree some cheap china stuff is fine, but dont buy the knock off red dots unless your sole use if for a .22 rimfire. They are crap and designed for airsoft.
