Read the relevant sections of the Firearm Act below. Your Restricted Firearms course instructor left out some very important information... [/B][/I]
I'd just like to clarify that it's been nearly 5 years since my restricted course, and any ignorance I have of the firearms act is solely my responsibility
Also, I didn't start the thread to try to root out loopholes... I just don't have much exposure to hand gunning (grew up hunting only) and wasn't having any luck with the seach function.
Thanks for everyone's input! I depend on putting venison in the freezer each fall, and I won't be flirting with any "gray areas" that could put any or ALL of my guns in jepeordy.
But, on a similar topic, I'd appreciate some input on ATTs:
I seem to recall that the ATT allows you to only transport a restricted weapon DIRECTLY from your house to the range. Is there a way to get an ATT allowing you to (in my case) take the gun to work in the morning, then carry on to the range after? Does the ATT state why, where, and for how long you can stop? (or if)... Returning home after work for my gun would add about 1.5 hours to my evening: only giving me 1/2 an hour to shoot befor they close.
Thanks for your help! And again, I'm not looking for loop holes... just clarification
