Backorderable Cabela’s

How does the Cabela’s backorderable option work? I mean, if it’s backorderable, do you pay the price and shipping at the time ammo was ordered? Good price on 223 right now, but out of stock. Some decent ammo prices lately.


And I saw it UPS they use for shipping?
 
and could be a few weeks to months before you receive. just received a pair of socks that was on a bigger order in early September and came yesterday.
have a scope cover that was ordered in october that i'm still waiting for. some other things that i have oredered on backorder have only been a couple of weeks. just depends.
 
Thanks for the info guys ..... I’m okay with the wait, but I’d want the better price and free shipping. Plus, I have a buddy that just got his first 223 rifle, so he’ll want to know too.

Anyone wait so long that an order gets cancelled?
 
You pay in full when ordering, like others have said. I ordered something that they said could take weeks or months, but it showed up in about three weeks. Return wasn’t an issue either.
 
Shows up as pending on your statement or when you look in your online statement until they process in the warehouse. It may not always be like that but that was the case for me when I ordered something a few months ago. The amount was added to my balance when the shipped it . Again that was my specific experience.
 
They charge you at shipping, they can cancel your order at any time, they did that to me, just said they were not getting them, so nothing we can do for you. They did work with me on a different deal, a similar savings value.
