Bad headspace vz58, rebarrel or ditch?

So that vz58 barreled action I got a year ago(or whenever) had bad headspace as some of you may remember.
Now that I got a few extra bucks, I'm trying to decide whether I should have dlask rebarrel it(last quote was under $500) or ditch it to the EE for someone else to continue the project.
What a barreled action with bad headspace is worth is beyond me. But I know I put money and time into it that I would certainly lose if I sold it.
Opinions?

Headspace is to long? I'd be curious about setting the barrel back to compensate. I'm sure there would be a few things to rework (piston length, repin barrel, handguards...) but it might be a good candidate for someone to make something unique from...
