I run Phase 5 bolt releases on my AR’s, I’m not sure how your finger goes into the trigger guard when using it correctly? To me it’s a button like the mag release, it takes almost no force to release the bolt. Even with gloves on it’s far enough from the trigger it’s not going to touch it. And it is also is much easier to lock the bolt to the rear if properly utilized. If you train to use it properly and safely it is an asset, if you expect it to make you reload faster the second you install it you’re setting up yourself for failure.
Anyone firing the rifle negligently and blaming the equipment needs a new hobby.
