BAD lever question

I tried the BAD lever on my 15-22 but took it off...Works fine closing bolt but does not have enough leverage to work the catch to hold bolt open...This is peculiar to the 15-22 as it takes a lot of pressure to lock the bolt open with even the stock button on the left side of receiver...I'm one of the guys in a group yet to be listed as I have 3 BAD levers and 1 tactical link on regular AR's and think they are the cats meow...When I get a chance I'm going to add a couple more to units that are with out these devices as of yet...

The bad lever is money. I've read many reports of issues across the board. However, my experience has been nothing but positive. I'm surprised it took so long for somebody to figure out that it would be nice to keep your hand on fire control. Pair the bad lever up with a raptor charging handle and you will be laughing at how slick it is to take the gun out of battery for remedial action drills.

sigh.....

I luv BAD level but it just won't work on my rifle.....causing many problems such as bolt won't lock open, or bolt won't fully close........

No it sits in the corner watching me cleaning my AR15 without him......

How to tell if you have properly install the BAD lever or not? Also how do you tweak the lever?

Well obviously if it's not causing any problems... It's installed properly or doesn't need tweekin'...
It'll depend on how everything else in/om your rifle is fitted.
The original BAD I once had fit and functioned problem free on one rifle, but on another I had to file down the back plate a few thou' to get it to work...
The MagPUl lever is molded to fit the bolt stop lever... If your bolt stop lever/paddle is somehow out of spec or "different"... You may have to do some filing. IIRC my Magpul lever was just too thick to allow the bolt catch lever to move properly...
On my JP rifle none of the cheaper BAD bolt on levers will fit.. The only Lever(s) that'll work are those like the one piece Phase5

The BAD lever is the worst thing to come from Magpul, I run a Phase 5 EBR on 3 of my AR's (9mm, 223, and 300BLK) and they all function perfectly.
I don't really worry about clearing jams much since my AR's don't jam? Just lucky I guess :)
I like that when I pull the rifle out of the case I can lock it back easily and then drop the bolt after each mag change with a simple push with my trigger finger.
I could easily live without them though and If I ever had a problem I though was caused buy the lever I'd take it off and go back to the stock paddle.
It is a little bit of a pain in the buttox getting a trigger lock in there now but it does still fit.
Completely useless for a lefty as well if that matters to you.

Looking back at it now, for the $80 each I wouldn't do it again.

Im new to the AR world, On my first or what I can see to be many, and I installed a Phase 5 "BAD" lever on my Troy, so far, I love it. being able to close the bolt with out changing my grip is great, and it makes locking the bolt back easier for me. I ran a couple hundred round through it before and after the install. if I do get problems, I still have all the parts to change it. But for now, I love it.

BAD and others are useless IMHO. As for not having to remove your hand to actuate the bolt latch... does it also put a mag in for you during reloads? It in no way speeds up action drills... that's what training is for. It does however put a lot of leverage and stress on the bolt catch, so much so, it can snap it off. I have repaired several AR's that have been damaged by them.

Don't need it, don't want and I don't understand what purpose it serves...

I see it at the range all the time, but haven't figured out its purpose on a perfectly working AR
