Bad News for AR enthusiasts

no, you where being a cheerleader ignoring the facts that several notable and experienced members of this board and hardcore ar15 users brought forward....

there are times to listen, times to use the search function and so on.... you get the drift. I am surprized sparrow has not commented in this thread, at hunters in vancouver they have seen 100's of dlask rifles that they have had to work on.....

sure the rifles are pretty, but try bolting on any milspec parts or even try inserting one of your vaunted PMAGS.... good luck on that, or you better have your dremel ready.
lol i'm not cheerleading,i've played with a few nice ones so i thought i'd chime in.That would be one of those times you speak of,when people are bashing them and from what i have seen, they are top notch.
Just calling them out to see if there was truth to it or what.Or if they were armchairing from what they've "heard".
only 1 hardcore AR user chimed in.
I trust kako's and your statements on the faulted ones you own.
And i'm surprised that there can be that much variance from real good,to piss poor in his products.

I dumped 4 boxes through one of his 1911's last time we were out, gobs more on other trips.
is that not firsthand enough?

Add in the oogle time, chatting and looking them over closely i think i can have my say.
All i saw with these 3 is good work, and good shooters,so i was wondering where all the bad juju was coming from.

You sure are a piece of work. Shooting off your mouth and jumping down people's throats and then turn around and admit you don't even own one. On top of that, you are accusing others of exactly what you did. Suggest you apologize and then we can move on.

I would not expect an apology from (Ronin). He has his opinions and he is entitled to them. He likes what he has seen (re: Dlask). You can't jump on him for it.

I am not saying he should apologize for is opinion, no matter how wrong he is in the face of overwhelming proof. He should apologize for berating other memebers and jumpng all over people for exactly what he did/accuse others of.

Really don't want an apology from him, just wanted to point out the irony of his statements and position. Oh and if he hasn't figured it out yet, I won't be a customer of his either.

Pffffftttt.........
I don't know Ronin very well, but I'm sure
he is gonna experience a nervous depression now :p

If I was a dealer/seller/whatever I would actually prefer
to stay away from certain cry-baby customers.

So does anyone know the exact restrictions on the export permits. I know the collapsible stocks wont pass export but does this mean only if its on the rifle or will they not sell the stock as an accesory as well.

How will we get collapsible stocks in Canada if they wont ship period?
Also is there a restriction on telescoping stocks as well or just collapsible or do they fall into the same category.

The components for the collapsible stock count as well...

This is why we bring in the TDI collapsible stocks / buffer tubes / springs directly from Israel... No USA export license required! :dancingbanana:

Does anyone know of a source for the hvy bolt and bolt carrier assembly that currently has them in stock?

What's a heavy bolt? We have heavy and extra heavy buffers, if you're looking to add mass (these add WAY more mass than an M16 carrier, if that's what you're referring to).

To the stock question, US Export Licenses are not being issued for collapsible stock parts, whether they're on rifles or not. Definitely go for the TDI/CAA stocks. Quality stocks manufactured by free citizens in a democratic country and imported into Canada by a reputable firearms dealer. :)

Just say no to Chinese knockoff toy part garbage, unless you buy guns to pose with rather than shoot. ;)

Yeah, its the M16 bolt and carrier that I am referring to.
The only parts I need to finish the build is the complete bolt carrier assembly, and the charging handle.
Already have a buffer installed.

There is no difference in the bolts. The difference is in the carrier, with S/A carriers milling out the portion that trips the auto sear.

The bolt and the buffer move in together as a unit. The M16 carrier adds less than half an ounce of extra weight, the heavier buffers add up to 4 oz of extra weight. Save your cash and buy a heavier buffer.

My experience with my Dlask CGN Limited Edition Lower, Serial Number CGN002 included 3 issues.

1. Bolt catch pin hole needed to be reamed out to allow the pin to fit

2. Front take-down pin is slightly offset, resulting in a VERY tight fit for upper/lower.

3. Mag-well. The bottom profile is at the WRONG ANGLE. Magazines with a supporting lip around them (Orlite, Thermold) will not fit properly.

I must say that overall, I was pleased with the product. Disappointed with the issues above, but in the end, I'm happy to have a "Made in Canada" label on the side of one of my black rifles.

The real problem with this State Dept. crap isn't AR-15s, Norinco make them, Sabre Defence make them in the UK, I think Armscorp makes them in the Phillippines, etc. There will never be a major problem getting AR-15s and bits for them.

It's all the other stuff made in the US like AR-180Bs, etc. that is the problem.

Yeah but the point is that you can still buy them in the US, just in "sporter" configuration. All the military bits are available from all over the place.

Where you're really up #### alley is if you want something that is only made in the US and is only available in a military configuration.

I guess I prefer my AR's to have name brand stuff (barrels etc)

I stocked up on spare parts but the State Departments ever increasing restrictions are big problem for somebody who is getting into the AR scene.
