look at the damage to the bark, probably a long, stressful and painful death...

Bad way to go

If you are ever in Nanaimo try and get a look at the Albert Wilson buck which he shot in Nanaimo River Camp. The deer had been hooking his antlers in a clump of willow and managed to completely tie himself up. When Albert shot it he had no idea that the buck was captive. He cut all the willows away leaving the mess attached to the antlers and had it mounted that way. The mount hung in Barsby's Sporting Goods while I lived there but don't know where it is now. Probably someone at the NFGPA knows where ( a hell of a good club by the way).

That's horrible. I knew bucks got their antlers jammed when fighting another buck in the rut, but I never knew they could do the same in a scrap. He must have been going crazy on that tree. I mean madd. Too bad though, really is.

I once saw a spot where a moose got stuck in mud and a black came a ate him. When I got there, there were just four legs sticking out of the mud and alot of bear tracks left.

If you're ever in Deer Lake, Newfoundland, check out Mary Browns, they have 2 huge bull moose heads mounted on the wall with their antlers stuck together, they got locked together and died, someone found them just after and had them mounted the way they were.

Grouseman, I don't think he got killed by a yote, theres to muck skeleton, all the yote kills i've seen the bones have all been dragged away
