bag limit on coyotes?

While psyching myself up for my first deer hunt since my recent move to Manitoba, and revelling in the knowledge that I actually get to use a rifle instead of a shotgun, I noticed in the Mb hunting regs that there is actually a season on coyotes here, with a bag limit of ONE!! HUH??? Am I reading this correctly? What in God's name are they thinking? ONE COYOTE?

Cripes, if I wanted to be subject to insane, unsound and idiotic government regulations, I could have stayed in Onterrible.

You need to move more than one province away. I suggest either 3 or 4 to the west of onterrible. Not a day goes by that I dont regret it...

You could buy a trappers license for five bucks?.. and pull the trigger on as many as you want ... check the regs in youre location to be sure.

Thats really weird sask is open and may be shot anytime of year. However need a lic to sell the fur.

I actually spent the summer working in Saskatchewan, and from what I saw I think that I would have been happier living and hunting there...but my wife has family here in Mb, and another province wasn't in the cards. But, hey...it may not truly be "The West", but it's still a big improvement over where I was before!

$5 gets you open area trappers license and unlimited coyotes,wolves,beaver and raccoons year round (Sep.1-Aug.31).
Open Area zones only, so make sure you know where you're hunting.

God thank you for such a wicked place to live. We shoot dogs year round and tags not draw but regular tags for elk, moose, and deer, oh did I mention only bulls awe shucks...Only bulls. Ya I don't think I could live in some of those provinces and you know which ones I'm talking about.
