I pretty sure I know the answer unfortunately, but I wanted to see what everyone's take on this is. I was out grouse hunting today and got 3 spruce and 2 ruffies, in my region the daily limit on grouse is 5. The BC hunting synopsis has ruffs, blues and spruce in the same line, I asume it's a limit of 5 of any combination of the three different species. Not 5 of each species, would be too much to ask eh!

Does it say a combined aggregate of 5 in the synopsis? If not I would call for a clarification. Better that than a ticket in one hand and a 6th bird in the other.

For Dusky, Spruce and Ruffed grouse, the daily aggregate bag limit is 5; the aggregate possession limit is 15.

You assumed correct.....
You wanna shoot more grouse, cook them and eat them, head out the next day.

It does not say combined aggregate, just daily aggregate as FLHTCUI quoted. Call in in to clarify might be a good idea.

That was my gut feeling.

On the bright side, after reading the synopsis again the possession limit on grouse says. "The possession limit for all upland game birds while hunting or returning from hunting is three times the daily limit..." There is no mention of "at all times" so how many are at your residence has no bearing on possession limits for upland birds.

Migratory bird possession limit on the other hand says, "The possession limit for all migratory game birds at all times (including while hunting, returning from hunting or at a residence) is three times the daily limit."
