So I have a Baikal single shot 20 gauge IZH-18M. I'm wondering how a guy tells if its choked or not. Nothing screw in but how would I tell if the barrel is. I've only put shot through it as I understand putting a slug through a choked barrel will cost me my ####.

Thanks for any info.

you can shoot a slug thruogh any choke from cyl. to full. the only way to know for sure is to have it measured with an inside micrometer. that's the bore demension less the muzzle demension to give you your rate of constriction, which will tell you the true choke.

Thanks. I suppose maybe thats what the M is in the 18M. Probably not that would be too easy. I've got no complaints with it. Always goes boom.

No worries about it particularly, just more curiosity. Technically I'm in a no single shot area and around the barns with mink and the occasional rat its easier and safer with shot than the .22 to nail the slippery little buggers.
